HOWARD W. HOPKINS JR.

Howard W. Hopkins Jr., 61, of the 1200 block of Warfield Dr., died June 2, 1996.

Mr. Hopkins, born in Norfolk, was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn W. Hopkins. He retired from the Naval Supply Center after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Hopkins and Lydia Hopkins, both of Norfolk; three sons, Howard Hopkins III of Las Vegas, Robert Hopkins and Steve Hopkins, both of Norfolk; four sisters, Marqurette Jones of New York City, Betty Ann Darden of Durham, N.C., Cynthia Parker of Chesapeake and Carolyn Harris of Norfolk; five brothers, Leon Hopkins Sr., Lawrence Hopkins, Gene Hopkins, James Hopkins and Raymond Hopkins, all of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Damita Hopkins of Las Vegas, Jasmine and Christina Hopkins, both of Germany, Carolyn and Eric Hopkins and Steven T. Hopkins Jr., all of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Friday at St. Thomas AMEZ Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. G. L. Scott. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling the arrangements.
