Miss Maggie Harris, 71, of the 1300 block of Wilson Road, died June 5, 1996, in her residence.
Miss Harris was born in Scotland Neck, N.C., and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Scotland Neck. She was the daughter of the late Richard L. Harris and Maggie Harris.
Survivors include three sisters, Rosa Artis of Norfolk, Ellen Harris and Annie Mills, both of Scotland Neck, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Flossie Harris of North Carolina; nieces and nephews she raised as her own, Richard L. Artis of Chesapeake, Henry S. Artis of Norfolk, Eula Ricks of Chesapeake, Christine Jones of Norfolk, Brenda Harris of North Carolina, Viola Brown of Norfolk, and a host of great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. J.J. Johnson in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Scotland Neck, N.C. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge.
