Mildred McClellan Colonna, 70, of the 2000 block of Windward Shores Dr., died June 6, 1996.
Mrs. Colonna was a native of Norfolk. She was a long time member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk. She was a member of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club; a charter member of the Alanton Garden Club; and a former member of the Broad Bay Garden Club and Civic League.
Survivors include her husband, Benjamin O. Colonna Jr.; a daughter, Corol Colonna Banks and her husband, Henry T. Banks, Jr. of Richmond; a brother, Harry A. McClellan, Jr. and his wife, Lillie Mae McClellan, of Virginia Beach; a sister-in-law, Glenn Perry Colonna Boggs and her husband, William L. Boggs, of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Benjamin Colonna Banks and his wife, Jodi M. Banks, of Richmond; and many nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Andrew J. MacBeth. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 201 St. Paul Blvd., Norfolk, or to a charity of your choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
