Werner Blum, 84, of the 800 block of Cardinal Road, died June 6, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Blum was a native of Trier, Germany. Mr. Blum was a retired partner with Fraoli, Blum and Yesselman which was responsible for the construction of Norfolk's Scope, Chrysler Hall, Norfolk International Airport and the reconstruction of The Sanctuary at Temple Emanuel. He was a member and served as president of Temple Emanuel in Virginia Beach from 1954 to 1955, 1964 to 1966, 1968 to 1970 and recently received an award from Temple Emanuel for meritorious service.
Survivors include his wife, Margot Manuel Blum; three daughters, Judith Wasserman and her husband, Stephen, of St. Louis, Mo., Marion Drucker and her husband, Kenneth, of Miami, Yvonne Bentley and her husband, David, of West Chester, Pa.; two sons, Herbert Blum and his wife, Zella, of Englewood, Colo., Gary Blum and his wife, Pamela, of Jensen Beach, Fla.; a sister, Margarete Mayer of New Jersey; and 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Forest Lawn by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
