Maude Ellis Eure, 78, of the 900 block of Carolina Road, died June 7, 1996, at Obici Hospital, Suffolk.
Mrs. Eure, the widow of Harry Calvin Eure, was a native of Winfall, N.C. She retired from Lipton Tea as a quality control inspector after 25 years of service. Mrs. Eure was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Suffolk.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry Wayne Eure and Deborah E. Eure of Suffolk; two brothers, Charlie Ellis and Ray Ellis, both of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Eure and Kevin Michael Eure, both of Suffolk; and a niece, Debbie Thomas of Suffolk. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary Sue Albertson Ellis and Joseph E. Ellis.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. M. Webster Maughan in Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home of the son, 2753 Windjammer Road, Suffolk.
