Stanley Eugene Robinson, 68, of the 600 block of Homestead Road, died June 6, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Robinson, a native of Springfield, Ill., was the widower of Julia Dean Robinson. He retired from the U.S. Navy and from the Virginia Department of Transportation as a state inspector. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Assn. Branch 40; VFW Post 993; Portsmouth Naval Lodge (NU)100 A.F. & A.M.; Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies; Port Norfolk Royal Arch Chapter (NU)36; and Khedive Shrine Temple. Also, he was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include four daughters, Loretta R. Seed of Chesapeake; Rita F. Saunders of Port Orchard, Wash., Linda Darlene Sublett of Charlotte, N.C. and Louise Billingsley of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Vivian Holt of Kokomo, Ind. and Doris Aiken of Owensboro, Ky.; a brother, William Robinson of Indiana; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Richard Browder. Burial with Masonic rites and military honors will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home during which a Fleet Reserve service will be held at 7 p.m. The family will be at 3427 Collins Blvd., Chesapeake, at other times.
