Ernest T. Reese, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway, died June 3, 1996, in his home.
He was a retired forklift operator at the Naval Supply Center. He was born in Greenville, N.C., and he was a member of St. Mark R.Z.U.A. Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Ray Reese of Delaware, Md.; his mother, Rosella Reese Brewington of Williamston, N.C.; three sisters, Mamie Sherrod and Maybell King, both of Greenville, and Mary Battle of Stokes, N.C.; six grandchildren; a foster son, Ralph Hassel Jr. of Norfolk; a foster daughter, Edna Ford of Norfolk; an uncle, Theodore Wilson of Stokes; a special friend, Ms. Evelyn Guy of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in the Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home by Bishop Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Sunday. The family will assemble at his residence at 11 a.m. for the procession.
