Margaret Hodges Keil, 80, of the 800 block of Clay Avenue, went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was the widow of James B. Keil. A native of Portsmouth, she retired as a secretary for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. She was a member of Deep Creek United Methodist Church and Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include a son, Edward T. Keil of Chesapeake; a sister, Amelia E. Groce of Monroe, N.C.; a granddaughter, Erin M. Keil of Chesapeake; and a great-granddaughter, Colleen M. Blackburn of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Deep Creek United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bradford Phillips. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and other times at 1322 Walnut Ave., Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Deep Creek United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
