Lucille Wright Doughtie, 81, died Wednesday, June 12, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Born in Currituck County, N.C., she was a homemaker. Mrs. Doughtie was the daughter of the late Will and Lizzie Hughes Wright and widow of William Edward Doughtie Sr.
Mrs. Doughtie is survived by three daughters, Lucille Martin of South Norfolk, Susie Palmer of Charlotte, N.C., and Mary Linton of Franklin, Va.; four sons, William Edward Doughtie Jr. of Hinesville, Ga., Clarence Earl Doughtie of Sunbury, N.C., Ralph Edward Doughtie of Barco, N.C., and Danny Doughtie of Jarvisburg; a brother, William Earl Wright of Jarvisburg; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wright Family Cemetery, Jarvisburg. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, and at other times the family will be at the residence of Ralph Edward Doughtie.
