Police are asking for help in finding a runaway girl with a serious medical condition who has been missing from her home since Thursday.
Julie C. Young, 16, of the 600 block of Saddlehorn Drive, was last seen about midday on Thursday, said Elizabeth Jones, a spokeswoman for Chesapeake police.
Young does not have her anti-depressant medicine with her and also has a serious medical condition that was to be treated on Monday. If left untreated, her condition is life-threatening, according to family members.
She is white, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 130 pounds. She has short brown hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen walking north on Blackwater Road wearing a pink T-shirt and white jeans. She may be in the area of 26th Street in Virginia Beach.
Anyone who sees her or has information should call police at 547-6161 or Crime Line at 487-1234. ILLUSTRATION: Julie C. Young
