Four new trustees were appointed Saturday to Virginia Wesleyan College's Board of Trustees.
Their appointments were approved during the annual meeting of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church at the Pavilion.
The new trustees are Joan Perry Brock, treasurer of Dollar Tree Stores Inc.; the Rev. D. Michael Meloy, the new superintendent of the Peninsula District of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church; Robin Davis Ray, president of Atlantic Dominion Distributors; and Richard D. Roberts, past president and chief executive officer of TeleCable Corp.
Brock and Ray are members of the college's President's Advisory Council.
The four will replace Henry Clay Hofheimer II, Kenneth R. Perry, Mrs. H.W. Rogers and the Rev. Robert T. Casey, who is retiring as superintendent of the Peninsula district.
Brock, Ray and Roberts were appointed to three-year terms. Meloy will serve on the board as long as he remains superintendent. ILLUSTRATION: Photos
