Jesse Gerard Hart, of the 7700 block of Tucker Ave., died June 17, 1996, in a local hospital.
A native of Norfolk, Mr. Hart was a merchant seaman and chief cook for Seafarer International. He was a member of the Marine Corp. in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Jill Hart; two daughters, Desire, Jazselyn; two sons, Dezsmein, Damon; his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Hart of Norfolk; a sister, Diane Hart; a niece, Mynahgi; an uncle, Tharvon ``Bumpy'' Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Jesse Hart.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Norfolk United Methodist Church, 2729 Bowdens Ferry Road, Norfolk, by the Rev. Finley Jones. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is handling arrangments. Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m. Saturday at 7753 Tucker Ave., Norfolk, for the funeral procession to the church. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
