Lorece E. Irvin, 74, of the 1000 block of Castel Court, died June 21, 1996, in her home.
Mrs. Irvin, the widow of Abraham Irvin, was a native of Norfolk County, Va. She was a member of Divine Baptist Church, Chesapeake. She was a former member of the church's usher board (NU)2.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda C. Brown of Portsmouth and Maria E. Irvin of Chesapeake; three sons, James L. Irvin, Kenneth A. Irvin and Harry J. Irvin, all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Alice O. Johnson of Chesapeake and Katherine Hill of Portsmouth; two brothers, James E. Cuffee of Glouster, Va., and Marcellous Cuffee Jr. of Portsmouth; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two aunts, Mary Griffin and Irene Griffin, and an uncle, Raymond Griffin, all of Chesapeake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, including two daughters-in-law, Dianna Irvin and Barbara Irvin; and son-in-law, William T. Brown; and a host of friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday by the Rev. J.R. Briggs in Divine Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
