QUEEN E. TAYLOR

Queen Esther Taylor of the 900 block of Washington Ave. died June 19, 1996, in a local hospital.

She was a native of Portsmouth and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Norfolk. Mrs. Taylor was a retired educator for Norfolk Public Schools.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Taylor; nieces and nephews, Rev. Milton and Leoisa Feapherson of Emporia, Va., and Rev. John and Janice Bowden of Philadelphia, Pa.; a devoted niece, Mrs. Catherine Kearney; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Martha Hatcher and Junious Hatcher.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday by Dr. John Foster in Shiloh Baptist Church. Burial will be in Chapel Grove United Church of Christ Cemetery, Windsor. The remains will be placed in the church sanctuary at 10 a.m. the day of the service. The family will receive friends at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
