Bradford Franklin Smith, 52, of the 3300 block of Lilac Drive, died June 22, 1996, in Suffolk Nursing Center.
Mr. Smith, a retired realtor, was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He was the past president of Friendship Sunday school class and a member of the Churchland Lion's Club. He was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Taylor Smith; a daughter, Jennifer Vegh, and her husband, David Vegh, of Manheim, Germany; his mother, Elsie R. Smith of Portsmouth; a sister, Elizabeth Maie Whitlock of Simpsonville, S.C.; a brother, Randolph G. Smith Jr. of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Casey Vegh and Will Vegh, both of Manheim, Germany; and two nieces and a nephew.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. in Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Loving Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. for visitation. The family suggests memorial contributions to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4320 Bruce Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23321.
