Jack J. White, 85, of the 900 block of Portsmouth Blvd., died June 19, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
He was a native of Capron, Va. and retired after 25 years of service from Asphalt Construction Company as a cement finisher.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah J. White; four daughters, Debbie Brown, Diane Wright, Rita Allen and Kelly White, all of Portmouth; four sons, David Allen, Michael White, Ronald White, all of Portsmouth, and Eric White of Seaford, Del.; a sister, Elizabeth Johnson, of Capron; 21 grandchildren; two brothers-in law; a sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be held noon Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. F. R. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 10 a.m. Monday. The family will be at 926 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth and will assemble for the funeral service at 1015 Seventh Street, Apt. A., Portsmouth.
