Kathleen Carter, 92, of the 100 block of Hatton St., died June 22, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Matthis of Portsmouth; a son, Prentice Carter of New York; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at noon by the Rev. George Pone in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 1093 County St. for the processional.
