A 24-year-old man was in critical condition Monday night in a hospital after an acquaintance found him in a condominium near Stumpy Lake suffering an apparent gunshot wound, police said.
The man, identified as Derrick Creed, was found about 8:25 p.m. in the 4900 block of April Ave. at the Points West Condominiums. He was taken to Virginia Beach General Hospital where he underwent surgery Monday night.
Investigators but had not ruled out the possibility of robbery Monday night. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 427-0000.
