Coretha Mae Walker Moore, 50, also known as Mae City Gal, of the 1100 block of Matthew Henson St., died June 24, 1996, in his residence.
Mrs. Moore was born in Emporia, Va., and was a member of Refuge Church of God In Christ, Chesapeake. She was a retired nurses aid from Hillhaven Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her father, James Walker.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Q. Moore; a stepdaughter, Renata Sills; mother, Earlene Walker; five sisters, Nell Holley of Virginia Beach, Bertha Little of Norfolk, Mary Stallworth of Chesapeake, Toni Jeanette Cook and Jean Walker of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Edgar Walker of Portland, Ore., and Robert Tommy Walker of Newport News; special friends, Rosemary Spruill and Barbara Sills; father-in-law, Wilbert Moore; three brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law, Kim Moore; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. by Elder Joseph Williams in Refuge Church of God in Christ, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, Emporia. E.A.
