BANKING
Kevin Zywna was promoted to director of facilities at Chartway Federal Credit Union in Virginia Beach. He will be responsible for long-range facility planning and financial forecasting, real estate acquisition, telecommunications and security. He was most recently facilities manager.
Steven Litton was named collections manager at Chartway. He will be responsible for the overall direction and day-to-day operation of the collections department. Prior to joining the credit union, he was unit manager for Household Credit Services, Chesapeake.
Also, Dawn McMicken was promoted to software support manager at the credit union. She will be responsible for the management of the mainframe system. She was recently software support manager at Virginia Credit Union in Richmond.
And, Mark Bernard was promoted to network manager at Chartway. He will be in charge of the management, planning, and production activities of the credit union's network and PC environments. He was most recently network systems engineer for the company.
Robert W. Hehl was named vice president/construction lending at Resource Bank. Hehl was former manager of real estate finance/Eastern region for Crestar Bank.
G. Wilson Thomas II, a 23-year banking and senior management executive, was named a first vice president at Cenit Bank. His responsibilities will include commercial, real estate and private banking lending for the bank on the Peninsula and Southside.
COMPUTERS
Kevin A. Cunningham and Douglas E. Foster were named staff support coordinators at Metro Information Services in Virginia Beach. Both will be responsible for project management and quality assurance at various client sites.
MANUFACTURING
Larry R. Santure was promoted to vice president of V.W. Joyner & Co. in Smithfield. The company is an operating unit of The Smithfield Companies Inc. He has been general manager of Joyner since joining the company last year. As vice president, he will continue to serve as general manager. Prior to joining the company, he was a district sales manager with Kraft Foodservice Inc. of Virginia, which is now Alliant Foodservice.
SERVICES
Greg Ratliff was promoted to vice president-operations of Doughtie's Foodservice Division in Portsmouth. He was previously a project manager for the company.
Robert Horton was promoted to vice president of Doughtie's Foodservice Division. He has been with the company for six years and also serves as a district sales manager. He previously served as the director of program accounts.
Also, L.E. ``Skip'' Cothran, vice president, manufacturing division of Doughtie's Foods Inc., has been given additional responsibilities. He will also serve as manufacturing operations director. Bruce Biddle was named manufacturing operations manager. He formerly worked at Planters. Also, Dina Long was promoted to processing manager.
And, John Ewing was appointed safety and security manager at Doughtie's Foods. He previously served as security manager.
