For the last year and a half, the most fascinating part of my job has been writing about Hampton Roads in a column that has appeared each week on these pages.
Gathering information for the column has been an education, a pleasure and by far the most interesting of my duties at The Virginian-Pilot. However, my work here is coming to an end.
I'm moving to my home state of Michigan to work at the Detroit Free Press. To those of you who commented about the columns, I say thank you.
