Bertha S. Williams, 85, of Blake Road, died June 29, 1996, in Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of W. Everett Williams. She was a Christian.
Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth S. Wetherington of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Dr. John P. Mason. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Haven Home for Children or Trinity Baptist Church.
