Dena L. Green, 24, of the 2700 block of Turnpike Road, died June 27, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Green was born in Suffolk and was formerly a member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth.
Survivors include two sons, Jamante Green and Jabri Green, both of Portsmouth; parents, Eldred L. and Melvin Young of Portsmouth; three sisters, Karen Green of New York City, Melva Sauls and Rasheema Sauls, both of Portsmouth; two brothers, James S. Green of Atlanta, Ga., and Harold Lee Green of California; maternal grandmother, Carrie Butts of Virginia Beach; two aunts; eight uncles; a host of cousins, in-laws and friends; and a very special friend, Keith Lawrence of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted Tuesday at noon by Dr. T.M. Steele in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. today at Corprew Funeral Home, where the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home of her mother, Eldred L. Young, 310 Phillips Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
