Gladys Virginia Davis, 76, died June 29, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Davis was born in Williamston, N.C., and was the widow of Farris Davis. She was a member of Newport News Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Willie Mae Barber of Jamesville, N.C., Allie Elizabeth Page of Chesapeake and Marjorie Wynne of Williamston, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews, including Marilyn Capps of Virginia Beach and Carolyn Carey of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. Burial will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. They will be at 762 Biltmore Drive, Virginia Beach at other times. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
