Barbara Gail Smith, 49, of the 2500 block of Circlewood Drive, died July 3, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.
She was a native of Dabne, W.Va., and was formerly of Belfry, Ky. She was a secretary at Camellia Foods.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Redwine; two daughters, Rebecca S. Roberts and her husband Sterling of Fort Covington, N.Y., Rhonda Varney and her husband Lonnie of Kingsport, Tenn.; two sisters, Violet Maynard of Wellford, S.C., Brenda Cox of Nashville, Tenn.; three brothers, Billy Amburn, Thomas Amburn, and Jerry Amburn, all of Spartanburg, S.C.; four grandchildren, Leslie, Kasey and Billy Varney, and Brittani Roberts. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Amburn and David Amburn.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Temple Baptist Church by the Rev. Allen L. Dooley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
