Channie H. Walker, of the 1000 block of Springwood Court, died June 30, 1996, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Walker, a native of Henderson, N.C., retired from Virginia Power. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Cecelia W. Wilkerson of Chesapeake, and Barbara W. Merritt of Virginia Beach; two sons, Albert J. Walker of Baltimore, Md., and Earl L. Walker of Cleveland, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. J.L. White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. Friends may join the family at the residence. The remains will be in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
