Joseph Cullen Stalls, 84, of the 100 block of Tyler Crescent West, died July 3, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Stalls, a native of Tarboro, N.C., and a former resident of Williamston, N.C., was retired from the Mary Jane Bakery as a supervisor after 20 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Victoria Weaver Stalls; a daughter, Judith S. Condra and her husband, Col. Edward M. Condra III, U.S.M.C. (ret.) of Smithfield; a son, Charles E. Stalls and his wife, Fay Stalls of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren, Albert J. ``Trey'' Resolute III, Ann Beth Resolute, Gail Rymal, Sharon Walden, Charlene Creekmur, Deborah Huffman, Tracey Dixon; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Foster Funeral Home by Dr. L. Wilbur Kersey. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
