Daisy Worrell Harris, of the 2700 block of M. Street, died July 2, 1996, in her residence.
She was a native of Newsoms in Southampton County. She was retired from M.C.V. Hospital, Richmond, and as a private duty nurse after 50 years. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Newsoms, the Missionary Society and served in other official capacities in the church.
Survivors include three sisters, Dora Worrell of Suffolk, Maggie Riddick of Franklin, Cora D. Hill of Murfreesboro, N.C.; a devoted friend and employer, Mrs. Bertha Jordan Gale of Richmond; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Piney Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Futrell. Burial will be in the Piney Grove Church Cemetery. Remains now rest at the William M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, Inc., Franklin, where family will assemble to leave for the service at noon. Friends may visit the homes of Mrs. Dora Worrell, 212 St. James St., and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hill, 334 Mapleton St., Murfreesboro, N.C.
