John H. Padgett IV, 84, passed away at his home on July 3, 1996.
He was retired from the Tidewater Office Equipment Company and the Pony Express. Mr. Padgett was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Norfolk.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lettie Delores Tesh Padgett; three daughters, Patricia Ann Booth of Merritt Island, Fla., and Brenda Andrasen and Rita Burow, both of Norfolk. He was the father of the late John L. ``Whitey'' Padgett; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith and Williams, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at their residence, Martone Road in Norfolk. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
