Ellis P. Riggan, 78, of the 9400 block of Willow Court, died July 4, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Riggan, the widower of Alice T. Riggan, retired from the Exxon Corporation as a supervisor. He was a native of Vaughan, N.C., and a member of Bayview United Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia R. McCallister of Richmond, Va.; a son, James D. Riggan of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Bayview United Church of Christ, by the Dr. Richard E. Prince. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
