A 33-year-old man was shot to death early Friday in the parking lot of a a nightspot on Little Creek Road. Police are searching for a suspect.
Michael J. Maderazo, 33, of Pelham Road in Norfolk, was shot at about 12:45 a.m. outside of Garry's Inn at 1315 Little Creek Road. Maderazo was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police spokesman Larry Hill said Maderazo left Garry's and was shot when he approached a black male who was acting suspiciously around a van parked in the lot.
Late Friday, police issued a murder warrant for Ricky Ricardo Wilson Jr., 21, of the 900 block of Tunstall Avenue in Norfolk, Hill said. Wilson turned 21 Friday, the day of the killing.
Police are still trying to locate Wilson. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Line at 664-4040. Police described Wilson as black, 5 feet 9, 150 pounds, with a baby dreadlock hairstyle. Officers Ford and Norrell are investigating, Hill said.
