Elizabeth M. Psimas of Travel Designers has been named chairman-elect of the Portsmouth Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.
She replaces Carl Medley of Portsmouth General Hospital, who resigned from the board of directors.
Mike Warner, controller of Hoechst-Celanese, replaces Psimas as vice chairman/membership services.
The directors also approved three new ex officio members of the board: Vice Adm. Kent H. Williams, commander of the Coast Guard Atlantic Area, U.S. Maritime Defense Zone Atlantic and the Fifth Coast Guard District; Capt. Erroll M. Brown, commanding officer, U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command Portsmouth; and Dr. James W. Holley III, the new mayor of Portsmouth.
Holley will speak July 16 at an 8 a.m. Portsmouth-on-the-Move Breakfast staged by the Chamber and sponsored by Hoechst-Celanese.
