I would like to extend a huge thank you to Manager Mike Svede and staff at the Carvel ice cream shop in the 3000 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard. After having enjoyed an afternoon treat there with my family, I left behind my purse, which has just about my life in it, including money I had withdrawn to take my daughter shopping over the Memorial Day holiday.
Several hours later, when I realized I had left it, I called . . . and sure enough the purse was there.
When I picked it up, everything was intact. Needless to say, I was extremely thankful for the honesty of those folks. I am a law enforcement officer in a neighboring city and am aware of what could have been. Thanks guys! I wish everyone could be as honest as you all.
