CORRECTIONS

A federal minimum wage of $5.15, approved Tuesday by the Senate, would go into effect in July 1997. A pullout with Wednesday's front-page headline had the year wrong.

Also, U.S. Sen. John Warner, R-Va., voted in favor of raising the minimum wage. A ``How They Voted'' box with the story reported his vote incorrectly.

The City of Norfolk paid $7,000 to Harry P. Ferro to settle his lawsuit over confiscation of his family's dogs and cats. A MetroNews story and headline Tuesday incorrectly reported the settlement was $6,000.

Sailors who recently attended Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Fla., had their commissioning ceremony on June 28, about a month and a half after the death of Adm. Jeremy ``Mike'' Boorda. An Associated Press story Wednesday had the time period wrong.
