Ellie S. Greene died July 5, 1996. Memorial services were held on July 8, 1996, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Greene was born in Petersburg, Va., and was reared in Norfolk. She moved to Texas in 1957 when she married John N. Greene IV. She was an Episcopalian, a member of The Junior League and The Women's Club. She owned and operated Jack and Jill Kindergarten in Bryan for 26 years. Watching the children grow over the years was a great joy to her.
Survivors include her husband, John N. Greene IV; daughter and son-in-law, Francis and Jim Lambright of South Carolina; daughter, Ellie Maclin Stepp, of Texas; son and daughter-in-law, John N. Greene V., and Julie, of Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce S. Greene and Sieb of Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the local hospice.
