Mary Louise Crandell of the 2000 block of Martin Ave., died July 12, 1996, in Sentara Nursing Center, Chesapeake.
Born in Nansemond County, she was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ, Berkley in Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Willie James Crandell Sr.; four stepdaughters, Carolyn Crandell, Margaret White, Shirley Gallop and Janice Rogers of Norfolk and Agent Spain of Virginia Beach; a stepson, Willie J. Crandell Jr. of Norfolk; a sister, Beatrice Cabarrus of Chesapeake; 13 grandchildren; and many other surviving relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mark United Church of Christ, Berkley, by the Rev. Thomas J. Hart. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
