Maurice Edward Bell, 24, of the 3800 block of Old Farm Road, died Saturday, July 13, 1996 in Norfolk.
A native of Portsmouth, he was employed with the city of Chesapeake, Parks and Recreation.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle A. O'Connor; a son, Devon M. O'Connor; a daughter, Jasmine James; his father, George Williams; his mother and stepfather, Thomasine Bell James and Michael James; four sisters, Rebecca Williams of Maryland, Victoria Williams, Daketa Linsey and Alexandria James, all of Portsmouth; two brothers, George Williams of Maryland and Michael James Jr. of Portsmouth; parents-in-law, Nancy and Paul Moss and Floyd and Donna O'Connor, all of Portsmouth; brother- and sister-in-law, Mark and Michelle O'Connor; niece and nephew, Ashley and Chad O'Connor.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Gale Kirkman. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
