Sadie Sawyer Alexander, 90, of the 4600 block of Rivershore Road, died July 15, 1996, in Suffolk.
She was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., and the widow of Stuart A. Alexander. She was a member of Churchland Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John P. Myers of Portsmouth; a sister, Mildred B. Gates of Portsmouth; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Ron Rice in Olive Branch Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
