Margaret Anderson Brown, 70, died July 15, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Brown, a retired registered nurse, worked for Portsmouth General and Maryview Hospitals. She was a native of Bear Poplar, N.C., and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was the widow of her first husband, A. Leon Edwards Sr. She was also a member of Women of the Moose, Portsmouth (NU)966.
Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Brown of Portsmouth; a son and daughter-in-law, Adrian L. and Laura S. Edwards of Reston, Va.; four sisters, Ethel Ervin, Edith Shulenburger, and Kathleen White, all of Salisbury, N.C., and Martha Graham of Mooresville, N.C.; two brothers, Marshall Anderson of Mooresville and Grady Anderson of Douglasville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Arlo and Maggie Edwards of Reston.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Donald A. Seely in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
