F. BRUCE EBERWINE

Fred Bruce Eberwine Jr. of Bennett's Creek died Wednesday, July 17, 1996, in his home.

A native of Nansemond County, he was a son of the late Fred Bruce Eberwine and the late Lucille Wright Eberwine. He was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church and a lay speaker for the Methodist Conference. He was also a member of the Bennett's Creek Ruritan Club and the North Suffolk Rotary Club, a board member of the Nansemond County Farm Bureau and a master gardener.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Blackman Eberwine; a son, Robert Bruce Eberwine of Marina Del Rey, Calif.; a daughter, Page Eberwine Nagy; a son-in-law, Don Nagy; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica and Justin of Sunburst, Mont.; and a brother, John Wright Eberwine and his wife, Cynthia, of Suffolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Bennett's Creek Area Rescue Squad or to Monumental United Methodist Church.
