Theresa MacMillan, 85, of the 1600 block Westbrook Ave., died July 18, 1996, in a Richmond hospital.
Miss MacMillan was born in Long Island, N.Y. She was a member of the Ginter Park Presbyterian Church in Richmond. Miss MacMillan was the daughter of the late Jason L. MacMillan and Nelle Rankin MacMillan. She was a retired social worker and was executive director of Pennsylvania City Association for the Aging for 25 years. She served in Japan with U.S. Army Special Services Division in charge of recreation for the U.S. Army after World War II.
Survivors include two brothers, Dr. James M. MacMillan of Richmond and David Gavin MacMillan of Vero Beach, Fla.; a niece; 11 nephews; and a number of great nieces and nephews; and a great-great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha MacMillan Semple and her brother, Robert R. MacMillan.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the Westminister Canterbury Chapel by Dr. Robert Pierce and the Rev. Ray Inscoe, 1600 Westbrook Ave., Richmond. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Bob Warren. The family will be at 1953 Twin Cove Road, Virginia Beach 23454. Memorial donations may be made to the Ginter Park Presbyterian Church, 3601 Seminary Ave., Richmond, Va. 23227 or the Westminister Canterbury Fellowship Fund, 1600 Westbrook Ave, Richmond, Va. 23227.
