Viola F. Bowman, of the 2200 block of Hanson Ave., died July 18, 1996.
Mrs. Bowman, the widow of Frank Bowman, was a native of Princess Anne County. She was a member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and its Missionary Board and choir.
Survivors include a son, Cora C. Durham of Norfolk; three sisters, Hazel Griffin of Virginia Beach, Melinda Jenkins of Chesapeake, and Mary Dillard of New York; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. O.L. Cromwell III in New Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
