Margaret Lee ``Peg'' Thompson, 71, of the 700 block of Brinson Arch, died Friday, July 19, 1996, at her residence.
She was a native of Norfolk and was the widow of Martin L. Thompson Sr., and the daughter of the late Hazel E. and Ryland M. Porter. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Norfolk, but in later years attended Calvary Baptist Church of Norfolk.
Survivors include four daughters, Hazel M. Parron, Ellen J. Kelley and Nancy L. Diaz, all of Virginia Beach, and Carolyn E. Hayth of Norfolk; a son, Martin L. Thompson Jr. of Virginia Beach; a brother, William L. Porter Sr. of Norfolk; and 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Vance Smith. Friends may join the family at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
