Jessie Culpepper Adamson died July 21, 1996, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Adamson was born in Portsmouth and was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a Red Cross volunteer during World War II.
Survivors include her husband, Presley M. Adamson Jr.; five children, Robert E. LeDoyen of Afton, Va., Presley M. Adamson III of Newtown, Pa., Rebecca A. Walker of Springfield, Va., Ida A. Patykula of Mililani, Hawaii, and Jeff P. Adamson of Annandale, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Frances T. Moody and the Rev. Damon E. Wyatt. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
