WILLIAM A. BOGUE

William Alfred Bogue, 79, of the 1000 block of Northside Road, died Tuesday morning July 23, 1996, at his residence.

Mr. Bogue was a native of Perquimans County and was a retired Coast Guard repair mechanic and farmer. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church and the 30th Infantry Division Association having served with the U.S. Army in World War II. Mr. Bogue was the son of the late Heywood E. and Sadie Whedbee Bogue and the husband of Martha Winslow Bogue of the residence.

Besides his wife, Mr. Bogue is survived by two daughters, Sara Bogue Williams of Elizabeth City and Janet Bogue Burk of Mobile, Ala.; a son, William A. Bogue Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Catherine Spivey of New Hope, N.C., and Sallie Sharber of the Newland Section of Elizabeth City; and three grandsons, Kevin and Chris Williams and Jason Dail.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Glenn Greenway. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Twiford's Memorial Chapel is in charge.
