Shirley Marion Leigh, 66, our beloved sister and mother, who resided at Autumn Care of Chesapeake, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 27, 1996.
Mrs. Leigh was born in Norfolk and was the daughter of the late John S. and Ida Walter Anderson. She was the widow of Clarence Leigh and was predeceased by two sisters, Lora Gregory and Eunice Curtis; and two brothers, John Anderson Jr. and Walter T. Anderson. Mrs. Leigh was a member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Lee Farrenkopf of Chesapeake; her two sisters, Patricia Warren of Courtland, Va., and Ida B. Saunders of Suffolk; her brother, Joe D. Anderson, of Ivor, Va.; and her granddaughter, Amy Gail Farrenkopf.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 1996, in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Damon Wyatt and the Rev. Mike Harrell. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 today and at other times at the home of her niece, Janie Livesay, and her husband, Jimmy, 925 Brandermill Drive, Chesapeake.
