``Chesapeake's past, future clash over hog farm'' (MetroNews, July 22) discusses the conflict between a man trying to run his hog business and his neighbors who are complaining about the smell. But while the neighbors continue to eat their bacon, they are contributing to the stench.
When will we as a society stop regarding animals as meat machines and adopt a reverence for all living beings? We must get the stench out of our kitchens or the stench of Earl Warren's pig farm will never go away.
