Leroy Privott
HAMPTON - Leroy Privott, of 100 Emancipation Drive, died July 27, 1996, in a local hospital.
A native of Virginia Beach, Mr. Privott was a landscaper for Greenbrier. He was a Baptist. He was a Vietnam veteran, a Disabled American Veteran (NU)27 and life member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Marie Privott of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons, Leroy Privott Jr., Raymond Privott, both of Brooklyn; his mother, Annie Privott of Chesapeake; his father, James Privott of Chesapeake; seven sisters, Alice Johnson, Leitha Mae Jernigan, both of Brooklyn, Annie B. Kent of Portsmouth, Agnes G. Thomas of Fresno, Calif., Ella Haynes of Chesapeake, Margaret Snowden of Virginia Beach, Everlina A. Jarrett of Waterbeach, Fla.; a brother, Kenneth H. Privott of Virginia Beach; a special friend and brother-in-law, Mr. Walter R. Kent Sr. of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. today in Metropolitan Funeral Service Chapel, Norfolk, by the Rev. James S. Jarrett. Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. today at 617 Rivercreek Road, Chesapeake, for the procession to the chapel. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
