I have been watching the Olympics, as have millions of other Americans. The one thing that I have noticed - pride of country. Young men and women with tears in their eyes, some of them trying not to show their emotions but unable to keep from doing so. Black and white, Americans standing tall on the top of the podium smiling after they have given their all for personal glory and the glory of this country.
God grant that this spirit could be continued after they leave the arena of sports. What a shame to lose this spirit to the dark depths of discrimination and hate. Three cheers for our Olympians.
