Elsie Pippens, of the 1200 block of W. 26th St., died July 28, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Pippens, the widow of Fred I. Pippens, was a native of Columbus, S.C. She was a member of Abbysinnia Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Elsie E. Pippens of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday by the Rev. Frank Guns in Abbysinnia Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at 1216 W. 26th St. at 11 a.m. for the procession. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge.
